Samosa burger

 

 

 

 

For 8-10 Patties:

1 cup black beans, soaked
1 cup garbanzo beans, soaked
1/2 cup crushed tomatoes (fresh or canned)
1 cup rolled oats
2-3 medium potatoes
2 tsp curry powder (or garam masala)
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder 
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1 cup frozen corn or peas

Drain water on black and garbanzo beans. Fill into a pressure cooker and cook until tender, set aside. Meanwhile cook potatoes until tender and peel.

Mash both types of beans in a large bowl with a potato masher. Add tomatoes,
oats, potatoes, spices and continue to mash together until blended. Gently stir in corn or peas. Form the patties and refrigerate for 10-20 minutes.

Heat a skillet and place burgers in a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat.
Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes, flip and repeat.
Continue until all burgers are cooked, serve with hot sauce. ©2012Sabineart
