Power bars


For about 4-5 Bars

1/2 cup of pitted dates
1 dried plums (prunes)
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1-2 Tbs maple syrup (or RAW Agave syrup to make it RAW)
1 Tbs cocoa powder
1 tsp carob powder

1/4 cup raw cashews
1/4 cup raw whole (unpasteurized) almonds, washed
1/4 cup walnuts
2 Tbs raw hemp seeds, hulled
1 tsp sesame seeds

1/4 tsp sea salt
1 Tbs water, optional

In a food processor, with metal blade, process dried fruits, sweeteners and cocoas until smooth. Add nuts, seeds and salt. Process until all the ingredients form a sticky mass. You may stop the machine and scrape the sides sevearal times. 
Spread the blend on baking paper, forming an even rectangle in power bar thickness and length. Cover the sheet and transfer to the refrigerator to rest for a couple of hours. When a more solid consistency is reached, cut the mass into power bars, or bite size rectangles. Wrap and let sit in the refrigerator until use.  ©2013Sabineart.com
